Moxie cat, with Slick.
One of the reasons Moxie prefers Slick is because he puts up with her fussy bullshit. Even if it is 90F, she demands to be snuggled and held. Then she tries to claw your intestines out incidentally when she leaves. No thanks. But, Slick does it. He snuggles that fussy, hot, shedding cat in his arms and sometimes they watch tv together.

Had to blow out the photo a little because of the sunny window backlighting so you could see Moxie.

While I understand that most other areas in our hemisphere have been enjoying spring for months, we’re still trying to maintain traction in Cheyenne.

These roses are blooming in the sunlight.

The cats like it, too.

The door was only open long enough to get the mail and when I turned back around to close it, the two smallest cats had already staked their claim and passed out happily in the warmth.

And this is what happens when you put a seat heating pad on the loveseat.

You can see that Oz doesn’t really want to share.

I love the way they tuck their paws when they sleep like that.

Even Moxie will share for this kind of warmth.

Moxie, napping.
This receiver is a choice nap spot for the cats. They get to be in the room with us, keep an eye on everything and still have easy access to two rooms while getting to nap on a thing that puts out small amounts of heat. I’m sure it is full of cat hair inside.
Moxie is the cutest. She is especially adorable when she’s asleep and her complicated personality has one mode.

Autumn is the most wonderful season. With it comes cool breezes and tumbling leaves, which the cats love. We keep the doors and windows open as often as we can.

Here, The Captain thinks he may see a bug friend.

Moxie likes to play in the sheer curtains.
And you know who this is.

Moxie likes to play in the sheer curtains.
Moxie. She likes the light play on the sheer curtains and is fascinated by the limited visibility through them.

Moxie, Friday, Oz, The Captain
Moxie, Friday, Oz, and The Captain all napping on the fat chair. Nora, of course, was napping on the bed by herself.

In the meantime, my workshop progress has traversed sideways instead of forward. The photo session failed – they are so shiny! I must pop out the box. My first print run was a messy, messy, sticky disaster (new ink) and my second was merely full of rejects. Couldn’t even work on the quilt because I was out of batting. I know, how does that happen?! Apparently, I’ve been making a few quilts lately and used it up.

This weekend will set me right.

Cat nap party on the blanket pile.
Napping cats.

Slick is performing blanket maintenance (electric blankets) before the summer storage of blankets and created a large pile on the loveseat. The cats loved it, as you can see. Doesn’t a nap party sound great? I don’t get invited to those. Probably because they don’t exist.

Also, yes, we have a lot of blankets. We have dedicated sofa blankets, too. They are fuzzy and the cats’ favorites. In the winter, having a fuzzy blanket over you on the sofa, with a warm cat curled up in said blanket at your side is simply marvelous.
